“He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him”
Read Hebrews 6:1-12
Let us continue from where we left off yesterday. Listen to what we read: “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift…if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance.”
It is impossible. When you consciously turn your back to God, and want nothing to do with Him, it is impossible to be saved. At least, on your side this is true. With God, everything is possible. However, this conscious rejection of God is not that common. More often, young people say to themselves, “When I’m eighteen years old, I’m no longer going to attend church.” Or, “If God has chosen me to be saved, He will pull me out of this world.” Of course, God can work that way, but it isn’t the norm. God says, “Seek and ye shall find.”
So you must keep seeking, keep asking, and continue praying. One day you will receive “the rest” which has been prepared for the children of God (Hebrews 6:11-12).
What is the work of the Holy Spirit? What is your responsibility in this regard?
